Launched in 2011 by Diptyque, 34 Boulevard Saint Germain was crafted by perfumer Olivier Pescheux as an homage to the brand's Parisian roots. The composition opens with a fresh spicy blend of clove and cinnamon, which gives way to black currant and cardamom. As it evolves, green notes and citruses provide a crisp contrast to the warmth of iris, tuberose, rose, and violet, creating a complex interplay between freshness and richness. The woody base, anchored by resin and eucalyptus, grounds the fragrance in a distinctly earthy atmosphere.
