Launched in 2021 by Michael Malul London and crafted by perfumer Gil Clavien, 593 Bali is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that captures the essence of a balmy evening. The composition opens with elemi resin and cardamom, creating an aromatic warmth that cuts through the floral sweetness of jasmine and lily. At its heart lies orris, adding a subtle powdery quality, while sandalwood and suede lend a soft leatheriness. Musky and balsamic notes in the base provide depth and warmth, grounding the fragrance with earthy undertones.

Application Tips
One or two sprays is enough — the aromatic top notes are bright but fleeting. The fragrance builds warmth over time, so it's best applied just before you need to leave. It reads better close to skin than from a distance.

Gil Clavien Giannoni, raised near the Matterhorn in Switzerland, earned a master's in biology from the University of Geneva in 1989 before joining Firmenich as an Assistant Perfumer, working with Tony Morris and Francis Deleamont. She spent three years as a perfumer in Germany and time at Firmenich's Japan office before becoming a principal perfumer at Firmenich in 1997, working across mass-market and fine fragrance.
