Launched in 2024, 9 PM Rebel by Afnan is a vivid exploration of contrasts and complexity. Created by Gaël Montero, this fragrance opens with the bright freshness of pineapple and Granny Smith apple, punctuated by mandarin for an invigorating start. The heart introduces oakmoss and cedarwood, grounding the composition with earthy warmth. As it settles into its base notes of vanilla, ambergris, caramel, and musk, 9 PM Rebel transforms into a rich blend of sweetness and woodiness that evokes both comfort and rebellion.

Of French-Spanish heritage and raised in Madrid, Gaël Montero studied perfumery at Montpellier University and was mentored by perfumer Jordi Fernandez in Barcelona. After working as a Perfumer Assistant at Procter & Gamble, he joined Givaudan's Perfumery School in Paris, rising from lab assistant to junior perfumer, and now works as a perfumer for Memo Paris, based in Dubai.
