The story behind the bottle.
This is an oud that refuses to be tamed. Where Western perfumery has spent decades sanding agarwood into something powdery and palatable, Dahn Al Oudh Moattaq keeps the animalic edge fully intact — ambergris and musk give the base a skin-warm, almost visceral quality that sits beside rose and spice without apology. A powdery accord softens the top with a suede-like texture, but the animalic undercurrent means this never reads as merely elegant. It reads as alive.
Ajmal, a UAE house with sixty years of perfumery, has built its name on compositions that don't compromise on intensity. This is the clearest expression of that: enormous sillage, eternal longevity, a scent that doesn't fade so much as settle into fabric and skin for days. It's not a fragrance you wear to be pleasant in a room. It makes the room acknowledge you.
One spray is genuinely enough — the sillage is enormous and the base lingers in fabric for days, not hours. Let it sit ten minutes before dressing; the animalic and ambergris notes need time to settle off the raw top and into something that reads as skin-warm rather than sharp. Keep it away from white linens and light-colored garments. It will mark them.
