Launched in 2021 by Mugler, Alien Goddess was created to capture the essence of vacation and summer, aimed squarely at Generation Z and young millennials. Perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Marie Salamagne crafted a composition that opens with coconut water and bergamot before transitioning into jasmine and heliotrope, eventually settling on bourbon vanilla and cashmeran. The result is a fragrance that polarizes its audience: fans adore its tropical charm, while detractors find it reminiscent of dried sunscreen on skin.
