Launched in 2017, Alien Musc Mysterieux by Mugler is a composition that balances warmth and mystery through its rich blend of notes. Created by perfumers Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent, the fragrance opens with spices and saffron before settling into a heart of jasmine sambac and cashmeran, all anchored by white musk and vanilla. Claire Liégent was born in the Champagne region and grew up in her father's restaurant, developing an early sensitivity to scent. She trained at ISIPCA from 2007 and apprenticed at Symrise, then worked at IFF and IFF-LMR in Grasse before moving to Takasago, where she has created fragrances for Giorgio Armani, Lancôme, and Yves Saint Laurent, including YSL Y. In 2012 she co-founded the Parisian niche boutique Nose.
