Alizarin by Penhaligon's, launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumer Christian Provenzano, is a composition that balances the smoky warmth of leather with bright green and citrus notes. The fragrance opens with mandarin orange and mimosa, which cut through the richness of tuberose and iris, creating an unexpected tension between freshness and depth.
