The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2021 by Ard Al Zaafaran, I Am The King is a bold and authoritative fragrance that balances the fresh spiciness of black pepper and bergamot with the warmth of amber and woody notes. The composition opens with a vibrant burst of citrus and peppery freshness, while lavender and elemi add an aromatic complexity. As it settles into its base, vetiver, patchouli, cedar, and labdanum create a rich blend that reads as both regal and grounded.
Apply this fragrance in layers — start with one spray on the chest and wrists. The aromatic top notes will fade within two hours but the rich base notes will last well into the evening. Ideal for a day that transitions from office meetings to evening events, where its warmth and depth make it feel like a true statement.
