Armani by Giorgio Armani was launched in 1981 as an embodiment of the brand's signature Italian elegance, with perfumer Ron Winnegrad at the helm. This Chypre Floral fragrance opens with a burst of green and aromatic notes like galbanum, aldehydes, bergamot, and mint. The heart unfolds into a bouquet of white florals such as narcissus, tuberose, rose, jasmine, cyclamen, lily-of-the-valley, and orchid, creating an intricate floral blend. The base is rich with woody and mossy accords like oakmoss, cedar, sandalwood, along with balsamic notes of benzoin and tonka bean, grounded by amber and musk.
