The Story

Launched in 2018 by Louis Vuitton and crafted by the renowned perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, Au Hasard is a woody fragrance that blends aromatic and warm spicy notes with a distinctive musky base. The composition opens with fresh citrus from bergamot and lemon, balanced by aldehydes that add a modern touch. As it settles into its heart, freesia and green notes provide a subtle freshness before the leather and amber tones take over, creating an intriguing contrast between crispness and warmth. This fragrance is a proof of Belletrud’s skill in crafting complex, layered compositions.

Application Tips

Apply two sprays to your pulse points for a balanced experience. The citrus top notes are fleeting but critical in setting up the warm, leathery base that unfolds over time. This fragrance works best during cooler hours when its musky warmth can be fully appreciated.
