Black Opium Floral Shock by Yves Saint Laurent was launched in 2017 and is a collaboration between perfumers Nathalie Lorson, Marie Salamagne, Olivier Cresp, and Honorine Blanc. This fragrance opens with bright citrus notes of bergamot and lemon, which cut through the sweetness of pear and freesia. The heart of gardenia and orange blossom adds depth before settling into a warm base of coffee, white musk, and amberwood. It is a gourmand scent that balances fruity freshness with rich, enveloping warmth.
