Launched in 2022 by Yves Saint Laurent and crafted by perfumers Nathalie Lorson, Olivier Cresp, Marie Salamagne, and Honorine Blanc, Black Opium Le Parfum is a rich and enveloping scent that blends the warmth of vanilla and spices with the crisp freshness of citrus. The composition opens with pear and green mandarin before transitioning to jasmine sambac and orange blossom, creating a delicate floral heart. The base notes of Madagascar vanilla, Bourbon vanilla, and coffee add depth and a lingering sweetness, while patchouli and vanilla orchid provide earthy warmth.
