Launched in 2011, Body by Burberry is a chypre fruity fragrance designed to evoke the luxury and elegance of its British heritage. Created by perfumer Michel Almairac, it opens with wormwood and peach, leading into freesia and rose, before settling into a warm base of sandalwood, iris, musk, cashmere wood, vanille, and amber. Its 2011 launch campaign featured model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in a nearly nude pose wrapped only in a Burberry trench coat — an image that drove significant buzz and press attention.
