Launched in 1999 by Bvlgari and crafted by perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, Extreme is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that stands out for its dynamic blend of fresh and spicy elements. The composition opens with a vibrant burst of grapefruit, bergamot, and neroli, creating an invigorating top note. As it evolves, the heart notes of lavender, coriander, and galbanum add complexity and depth, while the base notes of guaiac wood, musk, cedar, and sandalwood provide a warm and lasting finish.

Application Tips
One spray is sufficient for daytime wear, as the vibrant top notes are strong but short-lived. The warm base notes come through after about an hour, making it perfect for evening events or layered under a jacket.

Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud was born January 24, 1962, in Grasse, France, into a family of perfumers spanning his father and grandfather. He began work at a perfume factory in Grasse straight out of high school, moving through Charabot, Quest International, and PFW before joining Firmenich in 1990, where he created fragrances for Christian Dior, Givenchy, Issey Miyake, and Lancôme. In 2012 he became master perfumer for Louis Vuitton, developing the house's first fragrance collection, and in 2018 opened Louis Vuitton's Les Fontaines Parfumées creative center in Grasse. He won the Prix François Coty in 2004.
