Launched in 2015 by Yves Saint Laurent, Caban is a woody aromatic fragrance created by perfumer Carlos Benaïm. The composition opens with elemi and pink pepper, creating an initial burst of freshness that transitions into the heart notes of olibanum and osmanthus, adding depth and warmth. The base notes of tonka bean, sandalwood, and patchouli provide a rich, balsamic finish that lingers on the skin. Caban is neither overtly masculine nor feminine, embodying the unisex elegance Yves Saint Laurent has come to represent.

Application Tips
Apply Caban in light layers to allow its complex notes to unfold gradually. The elemi and pink pepper are fleeting, so the fragrance’s true character emerges after about an hour as the base notes settle in.
