Launched in 2007 by Acqua di Parma, Colonia Intensa was created by Alberto Morillas and François Demachy to deepen the signature crispness of the original Colonia with a richer, warmer profile. The fragrance opens with Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian lemon, providing that familiar bright freshness, but then ginger and cardamom introduce an unexpected spiciness. This warmth is further developed by a base of leather, cedar, benzoin, musk, and patchouli, which anchors the composition in earthy depth.

Application Tips
Colonia Intensa has a gradual build, so applying it in the morning allows its rich base notes to develop throughout the day. The spicy top notes fade within two hours but the warm, leathery base lasts well into the evening.
