Cristalle Eau Verte by Chanel was launched in 2009 as a modern reinterpretation of the brand’s iconic Cristalle from 1974. Perfumer Jacques Polge crafted this fragrance with a lighter green-citrus-magnolia treatment, which some purists criticized for its departure from the original chypre backbone. The scent opens with bright Amalfi lemon and bergamot before transitioning into a heart of neroli, magnolia, jasmine, and iris, all anchored by a subtle musk base.
