Launched in 2022, Crystal Saffron by Matiere Premiere is an Oriental Spicy fragrance that centers around the radiant quality of Greek saffron oil, sourced from crocus flowers grown under the sun and light of Greece. Perfumer Aurélien Guichard amplifies this brightness with musk habanolide, creating a crystalline effect that feels both warm and metallic. The heart of saffron is underscored by ambroxan, adding comfort and an almost addictive character, while incense oil from Somalia enhances its vibrancy and projection.

Two sprays are sufficient to capture the full essence. The musk habanolide top note fades quickly but leaves behind the lingering warmth of saffron and incense, which develop best close to skin rather than in a wide space.
