Cuir Andalou by Rania J was launched in 2016 and is a composition that blends the ruggedness of leather with the smoky warmth of oud. The fragrance opens with a bold leather accord, juxtaposed with the subtle sweetness of violet and powdery notes. This creates an intriguing tension between the raw and the refined. Rania Jouaneh was born in Jordan, the great-granddaughter of a Middle Eastern spice trader, and moved with her family through Morocco before settling in France. After working in business management and tourism, she trained in perfumery at Cinquième Sens in Paris in her late thirties, gaining recognition for her fragrance Ambre Loup in 2012 and going on to found the niche brand Rania J.
