Russian Adam crafted Cuir de Russie II for Areej Le Doré, launching it in 2025 as a modern take on the classic Russian Leather genre. The composition opens with rectified birch tar, a purer and smoother version of its traditional counterpart, lending a suede-like warmth that clings to the skin like a lover’s memory. The heart features exotic florals—violet, white lotus, blue lotus, pink lotus, various roses, and jasmine—that float above with narcotic sweetness. The base notes are anchored by natural musk, Choya Loban, and amber, creating an animalic depth that evokes the untamed spirit of Siberia. This modern elixir is a dialogue between brutality and tenderness, romantic in its nostalgia and unapologetically honest.
