Launched in 1996 by Alfred Dunhill, D is a fragrance that marries the crisp freshness of citrus with the warmth and depth of woody accords. Perfumer Gerard Anthony created this aromatic fougère to embody a balance between modernity and tradition — much like how Alfred Dunhill transformed his father's saddlery into an automobile accessories store in 1893, blending heritage with innovation. D opens with a bright burst of Amalfi lemon and mandarin orange, punctuated by the freshness of mint and cypress, before settling into a heart of rosewood, lavender, and jasmine. The base notes of sandalwood, cedar, musk, and oak moss provide a grounding warmth that anchors the composition.
