Launched in 2019 by Zoologist Perfumes and crafted by Joseph DeLapp, Dodo is an aromatic fougère that seamlessly blends freshness with warmth. Opening with the crispness of fern and lime, it transitions into a heart of litchi and raspberry, adding a subtle sweetness. The base layers of ambergris, oakmoss, and patchouli provide earthy depth while musk and sandalwood lend an animalic touch, creating a complex yet balanced scent that evolves throughout the day.

Joseph 'JK' DeLapp co-founded Rising Phoenix perfumery with his brother Kyle in 2011 while still in medical school in San Diego, though the brand didn't fully launch until 2014. A trained acupuncturist working in Chinese medicine, he blends that background with natural perfumery, sourcing rare, high-quality materials; his grandfather was a confectionery industry figure and his father worked in marketing for brands including Johnson & Johnson.
