David Seth Moltz is a self-taught perfumer with a background in music and no formal training in perfumery, co-founder with his wife Kavi Durga of the Brooklyn-based house D.S. & Durga in 2008. His fragrances tell stories of specific, often overlooked moments in time and place, such as El Cosmico, created for a trailer and teepee campsite in the high desert of West Texas. His creations include Debaser, Bowmakers, Radio Bombay, and Amber Kiso.
