The Story

Eau de Lavande by Diptyque, launched in 2014, is an aromatic fougere that captures the essence of French elegance and simplicity. The fragrance opens with a fresh spicy note, highlighting the crispness of lavender against a backdrop of herbal and soft spicy accords like cinnamon. As it evolves, the composition settles into a warm and slightly floral base, creating a balanced profile that feels both modern and lasting.

Application Tips

Apply one to two sprays — the moderate sillage and longevity ensure it stays close to your skin without projecting too far. The fresh spicy opening is brief, so layering with a touch of lotion can help enhance its staying power.

Echoes of everyday life and nature: fletting emotions, moods, details, attitudes... the many small fragments of life that bear new images.

Olivia Giacobetti has an uncanny ability to creat an atmosphere. Having completed her training at Robertet, she founded her own perfume laboratory, Iska, and dedicated her career to doing that. She is the brains and the nose behind the fig accords that have been in home scents for years. The perfumes that move her most are "Echoes of everyday life and nature: fletting emotions, moods, details, attitudes... the many small fragments of life that bear new images." Her compostions capture the authenticity of a single moment. They are, other words, odes to transience.
