Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Julien Rasquinet crafted Gladiator Oud in 2023 for Electimuss, a brand known for blending ancient Roman inspiration with modern perfumery. This woody and fresh spicy fragrance opens with saffron and cumin, creating an immediate sense of warmth and complexity. The heart notes of immortelle and honey add a touch of sweetness that balances the herbal and green accents from geranium and hay. As it settles into its base, oud, ambergris, atlas cedar, patchouli, and haitian vetiver emerge, grounding the composition with earthy richness.
Apply Gladiator Oud in light sprays to allow its complex layers to unfold gradually. The fresh spicy top notes are vibrant but fleeting, so a few initial sprays ensure they catch your attention first. As the base notes develop over time, this fragrance reads best close to skin rather than filling a room.
