The Quick Read
Respected, if divisive — a citrus, floral composition with a woody undertone. Voted best for spring wear — and genuinely unisex.

Formosa by Ormonde Jayne was launched in 2022 and was created by perfumers Linda Pilkington and Céline Ripert. This fragrance is a harmonious blend of citrus, floral, woody, fruity, green, warm spicy, powdery, and aromatic notes that create an intricate olfactory experience. The bright opening of bergamot and citron gives way to the warmth of cardamom and osmanthus, while black currant adds a juicy contrast. Green tea and freesia lend a fresh, airy quality to the composition, followed by the powdery depth of sandalwood, cedar, and musk.

Application Tips
Formosa is best applied with a light hand. The citrus and fruity top notes are vibrant but fleeting, so one or two sprays will ensure that you experience the full depth of the fragrance as it settles into its powdery woody base. This scent reads better in the evening when the warmth of the musk and sandalwood can fully envelop your skin.
