Launched in 2015 by Frederic Malle and crafted by perfumer Bruno Jovanovic, Monsieur is a fragrance that embodies the warmth of amber and patchouli, juxtaposed with the spicy richness of rum. The composition opens with tangerine and incense before giving way to cedar, musk, and vanilla, creating an earthy and smoky base that feels both familiar and intriguing. It's a scent that captures the essence of a sophisticated gentleman, blending modernity with lasting elegance.
Apply Monsieur with two sprays to ensure its complex layers are fully experienced. The rum note fades relatively quickly, but the patchouli and amber base notes develop beautifully over time, making it best suited for evening wear or cooler weather.
