Launched in 2007 by Gucci, Pour Homme II was the first men's fragrance released after Tom Ford's departure from the house. Perfumer Karine Dubreuil-Sereni crafted a composition with a divisive violet-leaf-driven opening that is both ozonic and slightly spicy, reminiscent of gasoline. This bold choice led to mixed reactions initially but over time, it has developed a cult following among collectors, making it a 'holy grail' scent with secondhand prices soaring from around $70 to over $400. The heart of the fragrance unfolds with bergamot and black tea, providing a green, fresh contrast before settling into a warm base of cinnamon, tobacco leaf, myrrh, musk, and olive tree.

Application Tips
This fragrance has a strong initial burst with its violet-leaf opening, so one or two sprays should be enough. It develops slowly over time, so give it an hour to fully unfold on your skin before reapplying if needed. Best for cooler weather when the warm tobacco and musk notes can shine.
