Launched in 1999 by Michel Almairac, Gucci Rush was an immediate standout for its bold and unapologetically synthetic character. The fragrance opens with a bright burst of peach and Californian gardenia, leading into a heart of African freesia petals and coriander that adds complexity and warmth. As it settles, the patchouli and vanilla create a rich, earthy base that lingers for hours. Gucci Rush won the Fragrance Foundation's 'Fragrance of the Year – Women's Prestige' award in 2000 and is widely regarded as a gold-standard scent of the late-1990s/early-2000s clubbing era, thanks to its instantly recognizable character that enthusiasts describe as unlike anything else on the market.
