Launched in 2008, Intense by Boadicea the Victorious is a Floral Fruity Gourmand fragrance that marries the lusciousness of white flowers with rich gourmand notes. Perfumer John Stephen crafted this scent to be both extremely feminine and wearable for men, creating a composition that stands out through its balance of sweet and floral elements. The top notes of fruity accents give way to a heart filled with lily, tuberose, jasmine, and rose, while the base layers of white honey, vanilla, patchouli, and woods offer warmth and depth.

Given its strong sillage and eternal longevity, one or two sprays is sufficient. The fruity notes are vibrant initially but quickly give way to the rich heart and base, so apply it close to your skin for an intimate experience rather than spreading widely.

John Stephen, born in rural England, studied chemistry at the University of Bath before turning his family's failed perfumery venture into The Cotswold Perfumery in Bourton-on-the-Water. In 1999 he was commissioned to create two fragrances for Queen Elizabeth II, and he is known for creating fragrances for Czech & Speake and the entire first line of Boadicea The Victorious, for which he still oversees quality control and production. He is one of only six independent perfumers in the UK.
