Steve Guo was born in Beijing in 1982 and moved to France for a bachelor's in Chemistry at the University of Strasbourg and a master's in Cosmetic, Flavor and Fragrance Engineering. He trained at Robertet's Perfumery School in Grasse, starting as a perfumer assistant at Galimard (2012-2013) before joining Robertet in Beijing, then Paris. In 2017 he won the International Perfumer's Prize with his fragrance Chypre 24, and in March 2023 joined dsm-firmenich's Fine Fragrance Atelier in Shanghai after relocating back to China in 2021.
