The story behind the bottle.
Vanina Muracciole created Ligno by Jeroboam in 2019, crafting a composition that balances the earthy depths of patchouli and leather with aromatic notes like pine and clary sage. The fragrance opens with a fresh burst of bergamot and geranium before settling into a warm base of ambergris, musk, and ambroxan. This juxtaposition creates an intriguing tension between crisp freshness and enveloping warmth, making Ligno feel both contemporary and lasting.
Apply Ligno in light layers to allow its nuanced notes to unfold gradually. The patchouli and clary sage will fade quickly, but the warm amber and musk base continues to develop over several hours. It's best worn close to skin for an intimate experience rather than a strong presence in a room.
