The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2017 by Jusbox, Black Powder is a Leather fragrance created by Julien Rasquinet. The composition opens with the crisp freshness of apple and black currant, punctuated by the warmth of pimento. As it develops on the skin, tobacco leaf and incense bring a smoky depth, while tonka bean adds sweetness. The base notes of suede, patchouli, and sandalwood create an enveloping warmth that feels both familiar and intriguing.
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points — the fruity top notes are fleeting but vibrant. The warm base will gradually reveal itself over time, so avoid layering with other fragrances to let Black Powder's complexity unfold naturally.
