Launched in 2006 by Kenzo and created by perfumers Daphné Bugey and Olivier Cresp, Kenzo Amour is a distinctive Oriental Vanilla fragrance that quickly became a cult favorite. The composition centers around an unusual milky, powdery Thai rice note, which sets it apart from typical vanilla florals. This distinctive texture has earned it praise as well as its devoted following. In 2007, it was awarded the Fragrance Foundation's 'Fragrance of the Year – Women’s Luxury,' cementing its status in fragrance history. Its later discontinuation only reinforced its cult status among enthusiasts.
