Jacques Cavallier took the original's philosophy of transparency and wateriness and redirected it through a masculine prism: where the feminine had been dewy and floral, the masculine was crisp, spicy, and citric, built on a yuzu and calone accord that evoked not still water but moving water — a river over stones, a cascade catching light.
