La Botte by Byredo was launched in 2016 as part of the brand's Night Veils collection, drawing inspiration from the craft of leatherworking. The composition opens with a bright jasmine note that quickly gives way to the heart of violet and synthetic civet, creating an intriguing tension between floral sweetness and animalic depth. At its core, La Botte is anchored by rich mahogany and leather notes, evoking the essence of a bootmaker's workshop where new boots are still nestled in their boxes, freshly buffed leather gleams on patinated wood shoe trees, and the sound of heels click-clacking down the sidewalk lingers.
