La Collection M7 Oud Absolu by Yves Saint Laurent was launched in 2011 and is a collaboration between perfumers Alberto Morillas and Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud. The fragrance opens with the bright zest of mandarin orange, which gives way to the earthy richness of patchouli before settling into the warm, smoky depths of agarwood (oud). Myrrh and French labdanum add a balsamic sweetness that rounds out the composition. This is a scent that marries the freshness of citrus with the lasting charm of oud, creating an olfactory experience that is both modern and deeply rooted in tradition.
