Launched in 2015 by Lancôme, La Nuit Trésor was created by perfumers Amandine Clerc-Marie and Christophe Raynaud as a gourmand aphrodisiac. The fragrance opens with the sweetness of pear and tangerine, followed by the rich depth of praline and caramel. At its core is a bold blend of black rose and vanilla orchid, which together create an intense and seductive heart. The base notes of patchouli and incense add warmth and complexity, while the addition of coumarin gives it a distinctive, enveloping quality.
Marketed as a 'gourmand aphrodisiac,' La Nuit Trésor quickly became one of Lancôme's best-selling modern releases. However, its 2019 reformulation drew notable community backlash, with enthusiasts describing the updated version as thinner and more generic than the original formula.
