La Rhapsodie Noire by Parfums Dusita is a Oriental Fougere fragrance for women and men. La Rhapsodie Noire was launched in 2022. The nose behind this fragrance is Pissara Umavijani. Top notes are Lavender, Sage, Broom, Mimosa and Jasmine Sambac; middle notes are Coffee, Tobacco and Rum; base notes are Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Oak, Vetiver, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Oakmoss. “One evening, I was crossing the Pont-Neuf; as I was listening to “Rhapsody in Blue”, I paused to look around me: even more so at night, Paris seems to have kept its fabled charm unaltered by time. My imagination was fueled by images and sensations of the City of Light in the 1920s, a time of extraordinary energy and creativity. I decided to create a nocturnal, vibrant fragrance dedicated to Paris of Annees Folles – La Rhapsodie Noire.” – perfumer Pissara Umavijani.

Tonka Bean
Tonka Bean, derived from the seeds of the Dipteryx odorata tree found in South America, brings an essence of vanilla with hints of almond and caramel. Its aroma is both warm and comforting, reminiscent of rich desserts yet grounded by a subtle earthiness that lends depth to any perfume.
Vanilla

Derived from the cured pods of orchids native to Mexico, it has a rich sweetness that can range from creamy and milky in texture to deep and almost smoky. Oak
Oak is not just a tree; it's an essence of earthy strength and warmth. Distilled from its wood or bark, this note carries the scent of a forest floor after rain, with hints of tannin and a subtle smokiness that evoke the lingering aroma of a campfire.
Pissara Umavijani

Pissara "Ploi" Umavijani grew up in Thailand in a home filled with books and poetry, deeply shaped by her father, the renowned Thai poet Montri Umavijani. She moved to Paris in 2011, teaching herself the science of fragrance and developing her first collection with a production house in Grasse. In 2016 she launched Parfums Dusita, France's newest Maison de Haute Parfumerie, whose fragrances serve as olfactory tributes to her father's poetry, blending classic French perfumery with Siamese materials such as rose, jasmine, benzoin, and sandalwood.
