Lautus, launched by Navitus Parfums in 2020 and crafted by the renowned perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, is a composition that balances bright citrus and aromatic freshness with warm woody notes. The fragrance opens with yuzu and lemon verbena, creating an invigorating and crisp top note. As it evolves, lavender and freesia add a soft floral dimension, while cascarilla and juniper berries introduce a subtle spiciness. The base of palisander rosewood, sandalwood, patchouli, ambergris, and musk grounds the scent with earthy warmth.

Apply Lautus with one or two sprays — the citrus opening is bright and immediate but fades within an hour. The earthy base notes emerge gradually and last for hours, so it’s best to let them develop naturally rather than layering heavily.
