Launched in 2018 by Serge de Oliveira, Le Passant by Ormaie is an aromatic fougère that balances freshness with warmth. The opening notes of bergamot and lavender create a crisp, invigorating start, while the heart introduces marigold for added complexity and herbal depth. The base notes of tonka bean and vanilla provide a rich, sweet contrast to the fresh spiciness of the top accords, creating a harmonious blend that feels both modern and lasting.

Le Passant is best applied lightly but directly to pulse points. The fresh top notes are fleeting, so wait a few minutes for the warm vanilla and tonka bean base to fully emerge. Serge de Oliveira began his career in 2002 as an assistant at IFF under perfumer Richard Ibanez, developing an affinity for woody notes like vetiver and patchouli. He joined Robertet in Grasse, becoming a perfumer there in 2013 before moving to its Paris creative centre, and is known as an 'author perfumer' working in natural perfumery, collaborating with brands including Ormaie and 100BON.
