Legend by Montblanc, launched in 2011, is a fragrance designed to occupy the fresh masculine space with a calm, understated presence. Created by perfumers Celine Perdriel and Olivier Pescheux, it opens with fruity and aromatic notes like pineapple and lavender before settling into a woody base of sandalwood and oak moss. While often compared to Dior Sauvage for its fresh aromatic profile, Legend is generally described as calmer and less spicy, making it a more subdued yet equally compelling choice. It has also been noted by enthusiasts for its resemblance to Abercrombie & Fitch’s Fierce, effectively occupying a similar niche.

Céline Perdriel was born in the South-West of France between Toulouse and Agen, and her fascination with fragrance began at age eight when her grandmother gave her a set of aromatic accords. She studied chemistry and trained at ISIPCA, gaining experience at Synarome before joining Givaudan in 2006 to work on L'Oréal luxury fragrances including Montblanc Legend; a formative meeting with Jean-Claude Ellena in Grasse solidified her ambitions. She now serves as Senior Perfumer at Cosmo International Fragrances, leading a creative team in Paris.
