Luminoir, created by Yusuke Masuda for Astre in 2024, captures a delicate balance between the fresh and the woody. The fragrance opens with Japanese Green Tea and Lemon Verbena, bringing an invigorating freshness that feels like a crisp morning breeze. As it evolves, Night Blooming Jasmine and Fig Nectar soften into a warm embrace, while Black Cardamom and Ginger add a subtle spice. The base of Sandalwood and Moss creates a grounding effect, anchoring the composition in earthy warmth.

Yusuke Masuda, from Mishima City in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, grew up at the foot of Mount Fuji and was drawn to perfumery through Japanese craftsmanship's pursuit of precision and beauty. He trained for two years at l'ASFO in Grasse and at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery between 2019 and 2023, and worked as a perfumer for the historic Grasse house Galimard, reinterpreting jasmine, tuberose, and rose centifolia through the influence of his Japanese roots.
