Mahon Leather by Floris was launched in 2011, crafted by perfumer Shelagh Foyle. This fragrance is steeped in the brand’s tradition of elegance and sophistication, offering a complex interplay between warm spices, leather, and woody accords. The composition opens with citruses and jasmine, providing a bright yet subtle top note that gives way to richer layers of iris and saffron. As it settles into its base notes, the fragrance reveals a deep, animalic musk intertwined with vetiver, sandalwood, tonka bean, amber, French labdanum, and patchouli, creating an earthy and enveloping warmth.

Shelagh Foyle began her career in laboratories at Yardley of London, then trained at Givaudan's perfumery school in Switzerland, and later directed perfumery creation at Robertet, where she was elected President of the British Society of Perfumers. She now serves as head perfumer at Floris, the nearly 300-year-old family-owned house, where she revived the Peau d'Espagne formula for Mahon Leather.
