Mandragore by Goutal, launched in 2009 and crafted by perfumer Isabelle Doyen, is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that combines fresh, aromatic, and spicy notes into an intriguing composition. The opening of bergamot and pepper gives way to star anise and mint, creating an invigorating freshness. As it develops, the soft spiciness of ginger and sage adds depth before settling into a powdery base of iris, boxwood, and labdanum, which brings warmth and earthiness to the scent.
