Launched in 2012 by Yves Saint Laurent, Manifesto was created by perfumers Anne Flipo and Loc Dong as an Oriental Floral fragrance for women. This composition opens with the fresh vibrancy of black currant and bergamot, leading to a heart of jasmine sambac and lily-of-the-valley that adds a touch of floral softness. The base notes of vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood, and cedar anchor the scent in warm, woody comfort. Notably, Manifesto L'Éclat has been cited as a benchmark example of a 'green vanilla' accord, capturing the essence of modern elegance. Its discontinued flankers have made original bottles sought-after items on the collector market.
