Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2009 by Marc Jacobs, Lola was crafted by perfumers Calice Becker and Yann Vasnier to embody a fresh yet warm floral essence. The fragrance opens with the bright zest of pink pepper, pear, and grapefruit before settling into a heart of rose, peony, and geranium. A base of vanilla, musk, and tonka bean rounds out the composition, creating a scent that is both sweet and spicy, enveloping the wearer in a comforting embrace.
One or two sprays are enough — the fresh citrus opening is vibrant but short-lived, while the warm base notes linger. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than in a room, so aim for pulse points like wrists and neck.

Calice Becker
Flowers inside a bottle of eau de cologneCalice Becker (Asancheyev-Becker) is a French master perfumer and director of the Givaudan Perfumery School, whose fascination with perfume began as a child asking how flowers get inside a bottle of eau de cologne.
“I like to add a dose of intrigue because nothing catches the attention of a touch of something unexpected.”
