Launched in 2014 by Aesop, Marrakech Intense Eau de Parfum is a composition that captures the essence of an exotic journey through its warm and spicy accords. Perfumer Barnabe Fillion crafted this Oriental Floral fragrance with bergamot, jasmine, neroli, and patchouli at the forefront, leading to a heart enriched by rose and cardamom. The base notes of sandalwood, cedarwood, and clove ground the scent in earthy warmth, creating an olfactory experience that feels both intimate and expansive.

Application Tips
One or two sprays are sufficient for this rich composition. The spicy top notes are vibrant but fade within an hour, making it ideal for daytime wear. The woody base will linger close to your skin throughout the day.

Founding perfumer · 14 fragrances

Barnabé Fillion trained in photography before pursuing a thesis on synesthesia and studying naturopathy, phytotherapy, and aromatherapy. He worked as Aesop's in-house perfumer for a decade, creating all of the brand's fragrances and its first candles, including the reimagined Marrakech Intense Eau de Toilette. His 'Biography' series with artist Anicka Yi reconstructed the imagined scent-personalities of historical figures, and he later founded Arpa, a multi-platform project combining scent, music, and architecture.
