Launched in 2026 by Matière Première, Metal Lavender is a creation by perfumer Aurélien Guichard that challenges the conventional notion of lavender. The fragrance opens with an unexpected twist: a musky and powdery accord that contrasts sharply with the fresh lavender heart. This juxtaposition creates a distinctive aromatic tension, as if the crispness of lavender is anchored by a subtle metallic undercurrent, giving it an edgy, modern edge. As the composition settles into its woody and amber base notes, Metal Lavender transforms into a warm, enveloping scent that feels both familiar and new.
