Launched in 2015 by Stéphane Humbert Lucas, Mortal Skin is an Oriental Woody fragrance that weaves together rich and complex accords of amber, woody, aromatic, balsamic, warm spicy, sweet, fruity, and smoky notes. The composition opens with the intriguing combination of ink and blackberry, leading to a heart of incense, labdanum, myrrh, and opoponax that adds depth and warmth. This is further enhanced by the base notes of iris, cardamom, artemisia, styrax, cedar, sandalwood, ambergris, birch, and musk. Mortal Skin stands out for its distinctive blend of contrasts — the smoky, earthy elements paired with sweet fruitiness create a complex olfactory experience that is both intimate and bold.

Application Tips
Mortal Skin projects strongly from its base notes, so a single generous spritz is enough to carry it through the day. It’s best enjoyed close to skin rather than filling a room — let it unfold in personal space for maximum impact.

“I use real oud, real ambergris, real orris. There are no shortcuts to transcendence.”
